Steve Edwards, Director of Results/Fitness Advisor

A nationally recognized fitness expert, Steve Edwards has overseen Beachbody’s fitness and diet program development since 2002. He also serves as the fitness advisor for Team Beachbody®. A former magazine editor and fitness columnist, Steve has contributed to more than 30 national publications, and he is the author of two books and two films. He’s trained some of the best extreme athletes in the world, including North Face Extreme Team’s Kevin Thaw and X Games champion Hans Florine, but says that his most rewarding experience has been to work with thousands (millions, technically) of Beachbody® members. Since the inception of the Message Boards, Steve has encountered virtually every possible scenario that a fitness professional could imagine. For someone who relishes a challenge, Steve considers this a dream assignment. In his spare time, Steve rock climbs, races bikes, multi-sports, and experiments with diets, supplements, and exercise programs so much so that he’s been referred to as a human lab rat. He holds a degree in biogeography from UCLA, certifications in personal training, sports conditioning, performance nutrition, and fitness therapy, and is chipping away at a PhD in sustainable nutrition.
